Winslow, a republican, was elected as State Representative for the Ninth Norfolk district in 2010 and said he would spend the weekend thinking about a run for Senate. In a statement released on Friday Winslow said, "I am honored by so many calls and emails urging me to run for the United States Senate. But I will reflect this weekend about my own family's needs and whether there is room in the national Republican Party for a member who is both fiscally prudent and socially tolerant."
Winslow's political career includes time as the Town Moderator in Norfolk, serving as a Presiding Justice of the Wrentham District Court, working for former Governor Mitt Romney and serving as Chief Legal Counsel to Scott Brown's first US Senate campaign. He is also Senior Counsel at Proskauer Rose law firm in Boston.
