The region of the state stretching from Littleton to Wrentham, and Natick to Shrewsbury is fairing better than other parts of Massachusetts according to an article in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. The article cites unemployment rates for this area below state and national levels. Also, it quotes experts stating that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has allowed towns to remain financially above water but new construction has "ground to a halt."
