The Wrentham Lions Club is again supporting Wrentham Day, held on the Wrentham Town Common Saturday September 8th from 9 a.m. to -4 pm. For the 29th consecutive year, the Wrentham Lions will be serving 500-600 banana splits in a row running the length of David Brown Way, which separates the commons. This event is for kids from 1 to 99, is totally free and eating starts at 2pm. Be sure and bring a hearty appetite because there is always plenty. The Lions thank Cumberland Farms for donating the ice cream which makes this event possible.
Again this year, the Lions District 33K EyeMobile will be set up on Common Street to conduct tests for vision, glaucoma, hearing, and blood pressure, until 3pm. Please take advantage of these FREE health screenings.
The Wrentham Lions will also have an information booth, as new members are always welcomed. Our youth group, the LEOs, from King Philip HS, will have a booth for information and face painting.
Wrentham Lions charities fund research in the hopes that one day, a cure will be found for blindness. For more information about the Wrentham Lions Club please visit our website at www.wrentham-lions.org .
