Boston Gymkhana Wins Curry Cup

Boston Gymkhana Sports Club (BGSC), the largest Cricket club in North America, celebrated the culmination of 2012 Cricket season with the successful conclusion of 5th Annual Curry Cup Invitational Cricket Tournament held in Wrentham on October 6th and 7th. Boston Gymkhana won this year Curry Cup Invitational Tournament against Commonwealth Cricket Club in a thrilling final match. The Curry Cup is organized every year by Boston Gymkhana and this year eight top teams from Massachusetts were invited to compete in this tournament. The winning team was awarded a $1,000 check and runner up team a $500 check.

The tournament on the Wrentham Developmental School grounds, followed 20/20 knockout format and it began with quarter finals on Saturday, Oct 6th followed by semi-finals and finals on Sunday, Oct 7th. 

Eight teams that competed in this 5th Annual Invitational Curry Cup Cricket Tournament were BGSC Oxford Knights led by Jaideep Reddy, Northeastern University Cricket Club led by Tarang Shah, Commonwealth Cricket Club led by Sumeer Goel, UMass Dartmouth led by Rohit Kankaliya, Boston Gymkhana Sports Club led by Parak Ananta, New England Royals led by Rohit Saini, Eagle Cricket Club led Hemant Kaligotla, and Lagaan Cricket Club led by David Hoyle.
