The Sohoanno Garden Club of Wrentham is hosting a Pumpkin Party on the Wrentham town common on Saturday, October 26, 2013. Participants are encouraged to bring a carved pumpkin with a non-flammable light source (battery-powered tea light or glow stick) between 4-5:30 pm. Halloween-themed children's games will be available, and the pumpkins will be lit for display at 6 p.m.
The Showcase Dance Productions of Wrentham will be performing Thriller among other Halloween favorites between 5:30-6 p.m. and James' Roadside will also be on hand with pumpkin favorites.

Halloween Bash at the Legion
The Wrentham Lions Club is sponsoring its annual Halloween Duathlon on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Crackerbarrel Fairgrounds at the Wrentham Development Center (WDC), 498 Emerald Street, Wrentham MA. Race starts at 8:30 AM. Registration in advance (preferred) via www.firm-racing.com or on site 7:15 to 8:15 AM. This Duathlon will be run exactly the same as in past years.
Competitors will start by running 3 miles around the perimeter of the WDC property; then bike 12 miles on streets in Wrentham, Franklin and Norfolk; and finish by running another 2 miles bisecting the middle of the WDC property. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in costume to keep with the Halloween theme!

The Wrentham Fire Department will present its annual Halloween fire truck Parade and party at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. The Parade will from on Randall Road near the post office, and proceed to the fire station at the public safety building in the center of town. The event will end with a Halloween costume contest and refreshments at the fire station. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes in several age groups. The Pioneer Engine Co., a social group of all members of the fire department sponsors the event annually.
Local Businesses Celebrating Halloween
The Tavern at Wrentham is holding Hallow-Fest, a combination of Halloween and October all weekend long. . It will feature live entertainment, seasonal food and drink, and dessert. Seasonal comfort foods like Mile-High Meatloaf, Baked Squash, Pumpkin Pie and Apple Crisp will be featured on the Menu all weekend long, and Pumpkin Beer and Sam Adam’s Octoberfest will be offered. There is no cover charge for this event. All are welcome to enjoy a weekend of fall food and entertainment. The Tavern at Wrentham is located at 263 Shears St.
On Saturday, starting at noon, the Terrace Café, 36 South St., will celebrate Octoberfest and Halloweel. There will be live music outside, a guest brewery, beer tasting and prizes for the best costume. They also promise zombie everywhere.
Mr. Dooley’s, 303 Shear St., will hold a Halloween Party starting at 6 p.m. Prizes will be award for best costumes and there will be live music.
