Saturday, February 26th, King Philip High School is the site of a competitive show of Indoor Percussion Ensembles and Color Guard Teams from across the state. The show starts at 2 pm, with KP Percussion tentatively scheduled to perform at 4:25 pm with its show “Polarize” which features music of Incubus, Mars Volta and Edward Shearmur. The Winter Color Guard is scheduled to perform its show entitled “The Awakening” at 8:58 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $8 per adults and $5 for students and seniors. The competition is sponsored by the New England Scholastic Band Association.
The new Tavern at Wrentham is scheduled to open in March almost a year after Tom's Tavern closed. This version of the Tavern will have a new look but a similar menu and some familiar faces. Read more here.

Right in our community is a network of selfless volunteers seeking to help members of our communities dealing with short-term crisis such as an illness, accident, house fire, or even death of a family member. Called the Wrentham Angels, the group’s volunteers lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors as they face an unexpected tragedy. Volunteers deliver meals, run errands, drive patients to appointments, and other non-medical services. To read more click here.

Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra to Perform at KP
The Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra will hold its spring concert at King Philip Regional High School, Sunday, March 21st at 3:00 pm. The concert will include an appearance by guitar soloist Robert Belinich performing Joaquim Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez. The afternooon of music will also include performances of Kevin Kaska’s Fanfare for a New Millennium for Brass Ensemble, Franz Schreker’s Intermezzo for String Ensemble and Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9.
The Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra has been performing orchestral and chamber music since 2007. The group performs in communities within the Neponset Valley area. Tickets may be purchased in advance here.
Tickets are $30 for adults with advance purchase and $40 at the door. Tickets for seniors are $20 in advance and $30 at the door, while student tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.
