On Friday February 8, 2013, members of the Plainville Police Depart. will once again play against the sixth grade students at the Wood Elementary School. The game begins at 7 pm. There will be a meat raffle to help fund the Plainville DARE Program, now in its 20th year. Tickets for the raffle are $2.00 each, or 3 for $5.00. They are available at the police station, or at the school the night of the game. The winners will be announced at halftime. There is also a student raffle, where the winner will be picked up for school by DARE Officer James Rockett, taken out for breakfast, then escorted to school in a Plainville Police cruiser. Please help support the local DARE program, and help cheer on the good guys (the 6th graders, of course.)
