Plainville Winter Festival Open House
The Plainville Historical Commission will open up the Humphrey House, 136 South St., Plainville, for visitors during the Plainville winter festival on December 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors are encourage to stop by and see the exhibits and help support the Historical Commission and Plainville’s history. Outdoor Holiday Market
An Unlikely Story is holding its Outdoor Holiday Market on December 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of the Plainville Winter Festival, Telford Park. During the day there will be local vendors selling their merchandise, a food truck, and musical performances in the park gazebo. At night there will be a tree lighting ceremony, and Santa will make his way into the celebration riding a firetruck. For more details visit www.anunlikelystory.com.

Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast
All are welcome to join the Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast, at St Mary Wrentham, 130 South St., on Sunday, December 8, at 9 a.m. Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, tater tots, and coffee, tea and juice.
Senior Citizens’ Christmas Party
The Wrentham Lions Club will hold its annual Senior Citizens’ Christmas Party on Sunday, December 8 at the King Philip High School Cafeteria, 201 Franklin St., Wrentham, from 1 to 4 p.m. All Wrentham, Plainville and Norfolk Seniors are invited to attend. The Wrentham Lion will decorate the venue for Christmas and includes centerpieces provided by the Sohoanno Garden Club. The Lions will provide a home cooked meal with all the trimmings, topped off by apple crisp for dessert, donated by The Big Apple. Wrentham Lions Club Member and DJ, Jeff Hall will play all the holiday classics. Dancers from Showcase Dance will be performing for the attendees. The festivities will be completed with a visit from Santa Clause. The Wrentham Lions Club donates 100% of funds raised directly to charity. They fund many causes in the local community as well as eye research and diabetes research. Wrentham Historical Commission Holiday Open House and Wrentham Cultural Commission Gingerbread House Contest
On December 8, The Wrentham Cultural Council is sponsoring a Gingerbread House Contest at the Old Fiske Museum and Gallery, 55 East St. All ages are invited to enter a gingerbread house or structure. The three most popular creations will receive award prizes. Participant may drop off theirs gingerbread houses at the museum on Saturday, December 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. or Sunday December 8, from 12 to 1 p.m. The Historic Commission Gallery will also be open during the event and decorating will be provided by the Sohoanno Garden Club. The Holiday Open House and Contest runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at Old Fiske Museum and Gallery, 55 East St., Wrentham.
Norfolk Lions Santa Parade
Norfolk Lions' annual Santa Parade returns December 8 at 3:30 p.m. The parade starts at Hillcrest Village, travels down Rockwood Rd, and ends at the Norfolk Public Library. Santa, his Elves, Norfolk Police and Fire, and the King Philip Marching Band will all bring holiday cheer. Santa will be available for pictures after the parade at Norfolk Library, 2 Liberty Lane, Norfolk. The KP Marching Band will play holiday favorites during the parade and on the Town Hill during the tree lighting ceremony. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available.
