Friday Night there will be a screening of Yogi Bear at the Cracker Barrel Fairgrounds, Emerald St. Field opens at 7:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 8:30 p.m. All donations are appreciated and will go to creation of a Wrentham 9/11 Memorial. Boy Scout Troy Neubecker is raising funds for the construction of the memorial for his Eagle Scout project. Grab a blanket or a chair and enjoy a movie under the stars. If it rains the show will be held in the Wrentham Developmental Center Auditorium on Smith Avenue.
Yard Sale Planned
Saturday the Original Congregational Church in Wrentham will continue its annual spring yard sale on Saturday May 26th from 8 a.m. to noon. Many items have been donated since last weekend. The church is located at the intersection of routes 1A and 140 in the center of Wrentham. The yard sale will be in the church’s basement below the sanctuary. Look for signs to the two entrances that will be used. Parking is available in the church’s parking lot off Route 1A.
WRENTHAM MEMORIAL DAY 2012
The annual Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 28th starting at 10:30 a.m. All marching units will assemble on Randall Road at 10 a.m. All veterans are invited to march in the parade whether or not in uniform. Those who have served after September 11, 2001 and those veterans recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan are especially invited to participate.
The parade will step off from Randall Road and proceed to the Center Cemetery where a ceremony will be held. The parade will then continue to Wrentham Common for ceremonies at the war monuments.
Also, at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 28th members of the American Legion and Sons of the American Legion Post 225 rifle squad and color guard will pay tribute to deceased veterans at memorial sites throughout the town.
All Wrentham veterans are invited to the Sheldonville Baptist Church, 1044 West Street on Sunday, May 27th for the 11 o’clock Sunday Worship. American Legion Post 225, VFW Post 9658 and DAV Chapter 5 members are encouraged to attend.

Patriotic Song Sing-Along
On Memorial Day the Cultural Council will be at the Old Fiske Museum singing patriotic songs starting at 11 a.m. and running to 1 p.m.
